Plant Biology Initiative
Harvard University is home to a wide range of plant biologists, primarily situated in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology and the research programs of the Arnold Arboretum and the Harvard Forest. These researchers apply a diverse array of tools and approaches to investigate questions in plant evolution, ecology, physiology, development and molecular biology. Visit
Microbial Sciences Initiative
The Microbial Sciences Initiative (MSI) at Harvard is an interdisciplinary science program aimed at a comprehensive understanding of the richest biological reservoir of the planet, the microbial world.
