Education:Bachelors of Science in Biology, Research Interests:Nancy came from Milwaukee Wisconsin to Boston to help set up Scott Edwards' new lab at Harvard University in July 2004. Previously, Nancy was working as a technician in the Human and Molecular Genetics Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Her training there in high-throughput sequencing for the discovery of SNPs was instrumental in her transition to bird genetics with Scott Edwards. She brings experience in automation and robotics to the study of non-model organisms, and is currently working on a project involving multilocus phylogeography of Australian Treecreepers ( Climacteris picumnus and melanura ) using anonymous noncoding loci. You can download her poster of the 2005 meetings of the Society for the Study of Evolution here. Nancy contributed ancient DNA sequences of the ivory-billed woodpecker for this paper.
