Post-doc position available!

Applications for work on an NIH-funded grant "Systems-level physiological basis of selection and epistasis in adaptation." are being accepted. Exceptional candidates, relatively irrespective of field of training, will be considered. Interested applicants should contact Dr. Christopher Marx (cmarx@oeb.harvard.edu).

Doctoral students wanted

Positions are available for Ph.D. projects in microbial evolution and ecology. Numerous potential projects to choose from exist at this time within the three current research foci. Given the highly interdisciplinary work in the lab, qualified students from a variety of backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Students can anticipate a stimulating academic environment with the close ties of our department with it's sister department, Molecular & Cellular Biology, the Bauer Center for Genomics Research, the Harvard Biophysics Program, and the new Microbial Sciences Initiative.

The Department of Organismal and Evolutionary Biology provides stipend, full tuition, and benefits. The department only accepts candidates whose interests can be matched with a faculty member. Therefore, interested applicants should contact Dr. Christopher Marx (cmarx@oeb.harvard.edu). Note that applications are to be sent to both the Graduate School and to the new Harvard Integrated Life Sciences Program. The deadline for 2006 applications is December 15.
