Education:

2006

M.M. in Composition (Pi Kappa Lambda honors); The Boston Conservatory

2004 A.B. in Music and Geography (honors); Dartmouth College

Interests:

I come to the Pierce Lab through a long standing interest in ecology and environmental science.  At Dartmouth College, I majored in Geography with a focus on natural resource management.  While I serve here as administrative assistant to the lab, I am elsewhere best known as a classical composer.  My compositional interests encompass both concert music and collaboration with artists in other media.  In November 2006, The Bronx Arts Ensemble premiered my chamber work Laugh • Stay • Dance. Other recent performances include “For Pondering” (an orchestral piece), dance works with choreographers Mary Chris DeBelina and Susan Graham, and incidental music for theatre.  I am currently working on a new musical to be performed by the 11:11 Theatre Company in May 2007 at the Boston Center for the Arts.
