Research Interests

I have a broad interest in behavioral ecology and evolution, but I am particularly interested in understanding the evolution of secondary sexual characters and the importance of sexual selection in the speciation process. I am currently working on a molecular phylogeny of the Neotropical lycaenid butterfly tribe Eumaeini to test several hypotheses regarding the evolution of male secondary sexual characters, sexual selection and the speciation process.
