Postdoctoral positions
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Zhang Lab in the Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology and the Center for Brain Science at Harvard University. Research will focus on function of neural circuits and regulation of behaviors. A strong background in molecular genetics and quantitative analyses are preferred. Qualified applicants should have obtained a PhD or an equivalent degree at the time of employment.
Interested applicants should email Yun Zhang with a curriculum vitae, a one-page summary of research experience, and a one-page summary of future research interests. In addition, arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent directly to Yun Zhang via email:

Currently Enrolled PhD Students
Our research group welcomes students from different disciplines. Qualified students from the Departments of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology and/or Neuroscience Program are encouraged to apply. PhD theses will be focused on, but not restricted to, understanding aspects of neural circuit regulation of C. elegans olfactory learning on pathogenic bacteria. Graduate students interested in doing a research rotation should send me an email to Yun Zhang: yzhang (at) oeb.harvard.edu or drop by her office (Northwest Lab, Room 249, 52 Oxford St, Cambridge, MA 02138).
Applicants for the OEB Graduate Program
The Department of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology (OEB) provides tuition, benefits and full stipend throughout the PhD program and only accepts students whose research interests match with one of the faculty members. Interested applicants are advised to proceed as follows:
1. Send an email to Yun Zhang explaining your background and research interests. Attach your CV or resume to your email.
2. Send an email to Pamela Greene (pgreene (at) oeb.harvard.edu), the Graduate Program Coordinator for OEB, to request application forms and information about the Department. Pamela is the contact person from the Department of OEB regarding the status of your application.
Currently enrolled undergraduate students
Harvard undergraduate students who are interested in our research are encouraged to participate in our projects. Students from the freshman, sophomore and junior classes are welcome; students who would like to develop a research thesis in our lab should begin work with us no later than their junior year. Please contact Yun Zhang (yzhang (at) oeb.harvard.edu) with a brief summary of your academic background and research interests.
