The 2010-2011 **Hrdy Visiting Fellowship** has been awarded to **Per Jakob Palsbøll** of Stockholm University. He will be working on meshing theory and empirical data concerning the conservation genetics of North Atlantic humpback whales, *Megaptera novaeangliae*, specifically focusing on methods to estimate ancestral population sizes.
