Andrew Knoll, Fisher Professor of Natural History and Earth and Planetary Sciences, Emeritus, was featured in [Harvard Magazine's Five Questions](https://www.harvardmagazine.com/five-questions/harvard-five-questions-palentologist-andrew-knoll). Knoll, discussed his research on the early history of life and the evolution of Earth's surface environments from the Archean and Proterozoic eons (approximately 4 billion years ago to 541 million years ago).
