Harvard Forest names Holbrook-Zimmermann Hall

The Harvard Forest has dedicated a room used for summer session students and events as the Holbrook-Zimmermann Hall. The dedication honors Professor N. Michele Holbrook and Martin Zimmermann, former director of the Harvard Forest.

Holbrook, who served as Director of the Harvard Forest from 2020-2025, first came to the Forest in 1979 as a Harvard College undergraduate student. Zimmermann mentored Holbrook, ultimately inspiring her to pursue the field of plant physiology, where she is a leader in the field and continues to mentor the next generation of leaders.
