 Congratulations to Andrew Knoll, recipient of the 2024 [Geological Society of America’s Penrose Medal](https://www.geosociety.org/GSA/GSA/Awards/About_GSA_Awards.aspx). The Penrose Medal, awarded for fundamental contributions to the Earth sciences, is the Society’s highest honor. The medal will be presented at the Geological Society of America’s annual meeting in September 2024.
