Assembling the Ideal Sperm Swim Teams

Postdoctoral Fellow, Heidi Fisher (Hoekstra Lab) collaborated with L. Mahadevan to create a mathematical model that simulated swimming sperm showing that while groups of sperm don't swim faster, they do swim straighter, which actually increases their speed. The study was published in Proceedings of the Royal Society B was featured in National Geographic and Harvard Gazette.
