 **Robin Hopkins** and her research team have successfully [demonstrated](http://www.cell.com/current-biology/abstract/S0960-9822(14)00853-7) a method for measuring the strength of selection in favor of reproductive isolation in Phlox drummondii, helping scientists end a long and frustratingly difficult history of measuring reproductive isolation in wildflowers.
