OEB Alumni Molly Edwards, PhD '22, studied the genetics and evolution of columbine flower petals under the direction of her advisor, Prof. Elena Kramer. After nine years of research, Molly returned to the Kramer lab with her YouTube sensation, [Science IRL](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-NrYNdCTzM), to bring closure to her dissertation through a new protocol that can genetically transform columbine flowers.

Molly sat down with Yan Gong, postdoc in the Kramer lab, to learn about the protocol Yan discovered, bringing scientific closure for Molly, finally!
