 Postdoctoral Fellow Isobel Ronai (Extavour Lab) elected [2023 Presidential Member of the Genetics Society of America’s Presidential Membership Initiative](https://staging.genestogenomes.org/meet-the-2023-presidential-members-part-4/).

 Ticks are a major health threat in the United States, with half a million people suffering from Lyme disease every year. Isobel's research focuses on developing tick control strategies to prevent tick-borne diseases of medical and veterinary importance.
