**Jonathan Losos** studied virtually every known specimen of anole lizard fossilized in amber and discovered the green anole lizard has maintained a stable ecological habitat for millions of years. The study, led by [Emma Sherratt](http://www.emmasherratt.com/), former postdoctoral fellow in the Losos lab, is described in the current issue of [Proceeding of the National Academy of Sciences](http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2015/07/21/1506516112.abstract).
