PhD student, **Danny Haelewaters** (**Pfister Lab**) collaborated with researchers including, PhD student, **Jasmin Casmacho** (**Hoekstra Lab**), to screen ectoparasitic bat flies from Hungary and Romania for the presence of ectoparasitic Laboulbeniales fungi. The [study published in Parasites & Vectors](https://parasitesandvectors.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13071-017-2022-y), shows a complex network of bats, bat flies and Laboulbeniales fungi.
