Housing
Finding accommodations in the Boston area can be quite challenging. The HIO offers information on housing including temporary accommodations, which you may need while looking for permanent housing. HIOs information applies to everyone, international and citizens
International Appointments
Chris Preheim, Senior Academic Appointments Administrator, will work with you and the Harvard International Office (HIO) to guide you through the Visa process. The HIO offers more information on the various types of visas.
As you prepare to leave home please be sure to have the following items with you when traveling to the United States:
- Valid passport
- Valid Visa document (Form DS-2019 or I-797)
- Valid visa in passport (not applicable to Canadian citizens)
- Appointment offer letter
- Medical record (only if needed for follow up care while in U.S.)
- Money for initial expenses
